Violet drizzles in a house of ripe decay
where hope trickles beneath the floor boards with
dripping, scarlet oozing in dismay.
Both arms broken, she’s flayed wide by splintered anger--
her blackened eyes swollen so she cannot see--
yellow-hued, flickering danger.
Violet pastel dreams begin to flee their gates
in her water-colored fantasy world;
flesh and blood conglomerate.
Life is a circle and, from death no one escapes.
We may hide the truth, forget it, masquerade;
co-conspirators--pull the drapes!

Powerful well written write! Someone very close to me, went through this physically and emotional, so this topic always touches me deeply.
How true; emotional abuse can be just as damaging as physical abuse, even more so at times! Powerful, heartbreaking write; I have been there myself, but I am a SURVIVOR!
