Scrubbed my soul with a pumice stone, little flecks of grit fell aside— now I have nothing to hide but my spirit nearly died. My ‘chaser’ was a melody about what living means to me. I luckily, was born free, yet somehow found misery … but, as I used that cold, gray, stone, I thought of the last one I’d owned. Thinking chilled me to the bone! Change chases the tears, felled, dried. Scrubbed, made whole, with a pumice stone.
