VICTORIAN POETRY QUESTIONAIRE

Have you touched moss on clay pots
seen Marianna or the Lady of Shallot
Have you been in the garden with Maude
Have you heard Keats's nightingale
or soared with Shelley's skylark?

In Tennyson, who vowed to drink life to the lees?
How many syllables in Christina Rossetti's
Sonnet from the Portuguese?

Gentle stroll among the greatest. I love the unique content and the ethereal taste of this one. Delicate, and unforgettable.....

Most excellent, dude! For some strange reason I can't quite fathom, it reminds me of "Bill And Ted's Most Excellent Adventure" - remember Beethoven in the shopping mall?! Groovy, but a bit chilling and wuthering at the same time... KB

OH, god, I love this... Indeed I do! When I saw my darling Tennyson named on the new poem page, I raced over to check
it out. Are you familiar with Loreena McKinnitt's moody, gorgeous singing of Lady of Shallot? Oh, you simply must!
Your poem immersed me... it's playful and creative and a lovely send-up of those who've gone before, in the world of
words. I especially enjoyed, in the beginning, when you 'spoke' to these poets about moving into the present. They are
still the masters... but poetry, itself, is timeless, as evidenced by this fine piece. Wonderful! katy xox.
