I write poems so that I might see the same sky as a bird
I write simply so that I might touch the heart of a child
I write to pass life's test with flying colours
and read William Wordsworth
that I may understand loneliness and clouds
Robert Burns, that I may know the red rose
and the mouse turned out of his home.
I write poems to discover the field
where beautiful thoughts grow
tall as sunflowers that lean
towards the One.
