Sometimes love just isn't what it seems.
Twisted Love Looking down the winding road Standing out there by myself I can’t wait for nobody To put up that tobacco shelf. Rain has fallen off the side A tilted world washed out And not a single place left to hide She looked at me Far away and cried. Sound of a red sky colored by her crayon Noisy like a truck its motor painted blue I can’t wait for nobody Not even you. Sitting out there by myself Falling off the tilted world Was a twisted red satanic elf Fiery tongue-like darts are hurled Love was angled in her wondering eye I felt the longing desperate look She looked at me Far away and cried. 2010 © Dayvid Graybill
