bell buoy
between the flash and clap
of thunder

beyond the pines the fog and the dog’s bark

only the quiet
and the lengthening of shadows
autumn sunset

between me and my cat the wind and all that roof

the sound a clam makes
when dropped from the sky
by a gull

fixed on a single star feeling the earth move

dune fence
in its bend the shape
of the wind

blinding rain raining faster than the wiper wipes

writing a love song
how I wish I had the art
of the mocking bird

the gull and I watch the surf tasting the wind

All very good, my friend, although I must admit I am partial to poetic pieces that combine nature, birds, and critters!

Hah! I found myself cheering on the 5-7-5 count haiku's and skimming the others . . . Why? . . . Easy . . . I prefer the 5-7-5 haiku. The breaking lines between them was a definite plus . . .
