At the church I attended as a child, we were asked to give up something we liked to eat during Lent. This year I gave up French fries.
I'm eating a small bag of bright Jellybeans Got to finish fast soon I'll take a leave Won't eat Jellybeans until Easter Day Can't sneak even one come what may I usually give up something in the season of Lent Chocolate is too hard I have to lament I cut down a little on all candy for a reason It's my sacrifice to understand this season

That's a cute poem. We all have those little vices that we love that are hard to give up. I guess Lent is a good excuse to try.

I've been fasting every other day to lose a little bit of tummy and because it's good for my health. But I'm tempted by some of my everyday snacks to sneak a little bit of them while fasting. I'm already seeing benefits after a couple of months. And feeling better, too.
