Poem Artwork

The motto of chivalry is also the motto of wisdom; to serve all,

but love only one~Balzac

A TOUCH OF KNIGHT

Knight in armor silver bright

Ride from chaos towards the light

Rein your horse towards magic wood

Towards your Lady......draped by hood

Feel her magic from afar

'Neath the twlight of your star

Hear her whispers thru the trees

Taste her kisses the breeze

Fluid mist to pad this realm

Eye of oak....and eye of elm

Rainbow lights to spark your way

Down her path........of conjured sway

Shed your armor, knight....and rest

Lay your head on waiting breast

Leave the battles.....rest with peace

Touch your Lady.....find release

Taim i'ngra leat

Pax

Hello Anita, i see and i'm not at all surprised that your writing is a strong as ever, i have missed it and have a lot of catching up to do, but thats the best part of being away, the coming back part, hope this finds you well and smiling, this is an excellent write that rolls around ones head like a picture you cant shut off, very well done here, take care...Mark xx

Oh, Anita... I'm sitting here waiting (patiently!) for the audible sighs to quiet. What a sense you have for authenticating this "period piece"... as though you've whisked us all back in time. I entirely collapsed on the last two lines... Jays, the neighbors heard me then! (smile) I'm keeping this... I have to, I love it!

You write like no other... and I always tell the truth! katy xox

Beautiful medieval wish. Just found out that the idea of chivalry was born in the Crusades when captured Christian soldiers were treated civilly by the likes of Saleedin. They brought those Moslem ideas home to France and England. Love that photo.

May I share this with Michael sis? This is sooooooo beautiful and soooooooooo sweet. I was daydreaming I was the lady waiting for her knight to return and lay his head on my beating breast, and have him just relax there. On this Mother's Day, this is such a beautiful piece to share. Thnx a bunch sis. May the Lord Jesus bless you and yours, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY Anita

There is a breath of enchantment in this poem, Anita. Your rhyme and meter are wonderful. Bold images make this poem absolutely captivating. Love the graphic too! Really excellent job!

Must be losin me marbles... sure I reviewed this last night, but perhaps I didn't press the post button?! Mad woman - or maybe I just said something so awful you had to delete... wine speak, maybe... this is just so velvety and tactile and taps straight into me Arthurian roots, Anita. Pure Arwen and Aragorn that splits heart and soul asunder like The Sword - after all, ain't this what deep down we're all aching for?! An undivided and unassailable heart is to be enshrined forever... pure bliss and rapture at its height. TY Kate xx

Where have I been to miss this beauty? I've always loved film related to this era, and this poem or incantation evokes the romance and mood of that time. (Can I use this? lol!)

Eye of oak... and eye of elm... Only in magical realms padded by mist are whispers and spells understood as they kiss through the trees, who have a beautiful language of their own. This is a tale of utter fascination, Anita. Love it!

Old Ballsac, now there was a guy knew how to turn a phrase, don't you know. I was galloping right with this Knight so brave (and horney) as he sped toward his lady-love. Uh huh, love, know-whot-I-mean-Doretha?
