Between the great things we cannot do and the small things we will not do, the danger is that we shall do nothing.........Adolph Monod DOWN THE TURRET STAIRS By darkness, of the moonlight, she crept down turret stairs Dared not to hold a candle, least, someone come aware She held her breath, and waited, and prayed a lover's prayer An alliance draped in danger, their forbidden love affair She saw his metal glisten, before she felt his touch He clutched her tightly to him, this man she loved so much No whispers were exchanged, they spoke through lover's souls As tears cascaded from their eyes, and they forfeit all control Hours pass as moments, when the parted once more can touch Damning every consequence and trusting in their luck Their union sealed in darkness, upon the turret stair By witness of the moonlight, their blessed love declared Lady A January 30, 2003

This was wonderful
I too felt as if I were looking in on a forbidden love
I love this, its beautiful I would love to become a member but right now can't afford it but I can enjoy reads like this and meet new authors such as you
