These are some of the poems that are included in my book.  When I was growing up experiencing the abuse that my mother had done to me, and the neglect that my father had done to me, I wrote poems in order to put my shattered feelings into words.

                               All of God's children

When you're a child, beaten and abused  
It is no wonder growing up, you are so confused.

The memories you have, so far and so few,
Are usually bad things, that happened to you.

You block out the good times, if there were any,
And remember the bad times, that there were so many.

As you grow older, and time passes by,
You begin a new life, wondering why?

Why should I raise, children of my own,
There is a real chance I might abuse them, or leave them alone.

It is a lonely life for these abused kids,
No one to love them, and no will to live.

A little Love and understanding, goes along way,
I pray to God, there is more of this every day.

If I could build a house, to protect all these children I would,
I would fight for all their rights, the way that I should.

No one should be punished, the way these children are,
The parents need some serious help, that they haven't gotten so far.

Dear God, please save them, each and everyone,
After all the Bible say's,we are all your daughters, and sons

God Bless these children, one and all,
It really doesn't matter, how big or small, abuse should be against the law.

It doesn't matter, if their black or white,
We are all God's children, and abuse is just not right.
