'THEY STOOD'. NOT 'THEY STAND' BUT 'THEY STOOD'...INDICATES WHAT 'USED' TO BE, NOT WHAT IS. THE ESSENCE OF WHAT EXISTED AT ONE TIME, INHABITS AND DOMINATES THE AIR WHERE THEIR LOVE BLOSSOMED AND GREW...SO BEAUTIFULLY. EVEN NOW, TIME CANNOT BEGIN TO ERASE WHAT WAS SO REAL THEN. I find this poem filled with generosity; generosity of sharing human feelings for another person, and generosity in desire to convey those feelings to readers of this poetry. You pose these offerings in the following lines: "So that all may flourish as we" "And all shall grow of it" "And all shall (I think you may have intended to use 'wish' instead of 'which') wish? to drink of it, and "Which bring life to all" * * * Reading this has me feeling like two graceful hands are holding out these words to everyone, for us to put them on and wear them, too!
