To slumber and be loved is beautiful ~Lily of Lough Neagh~

Awakening With mornings first gentle rays Peering through the window He rubs his eyes awake Slowing leaning up on one elbow Gently turning her direction With the gentleness of movement So as not to wake her slumber He quietly watches her sleep How softly she breathes Nestled in her pillow warmly Wisps of hair draped softly Across her smiling angelic face He leans into her tenderly whispering I love you and gently kiss her lips awake Carolee Dennis-Woosley August 24, 2012
