Poem Artwork

Crystal blue its coolness scene

Wrapped in snowflakes softening

Guarded by the wreath of holy

Twinkles under tender folly

Whilst fire burns ere kettle sits

Within the pot blue of the mist

Fairies dance o’ sheer delight

Deep within shalt see the sight

Now unto my chamber beckon

Crystal blue unto thee reckon

Don unto me winters night

Whilst the fire doth burn bright

Merriment bespake the wind

Rustles through mine tresses twinned

Through mine breath I scarce can draw

Melting through thine winter thaw

You bade me welcome crystal blue

Gaelic aye remaining true

Night loch raises auburn hair

Spurning love to Celtic fair

I am blue, I feel blue, I am of Celtic origin, I want to "be" where and with whom/what you describe. Thank you for sharing this gift, Carol. Love and best wishes to you,

You paint a wonderful winterscene and pour the warmth of romance and love over it. And when everything has melted away, a beautiful couple remains. Crystal blue eyes and auburn hair, beautiful !!!

(a picture of Arwen and Aragorn comes to my mind)

So lovely and captivating is your work of art. I like the auburn hair and the celtic words... reminds me of my own auburn hair when I was younger and my rich Irish heritage. Your poetry is totally awesome, Lily.

Visions seep through tender folly as fairies commentate the delightful sight. Fire tells the story of bright and merriment as breathing is scarcely done. A loch does from its depths raise the specter of spurned love to another oh so fair.
