When you love you should not say, "God is in my heart," but rather, "I am in the heart of God."
And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course. ~Kahlil Gibran!
For my love the oceans cannot quench my love nor can the floods of the earth drown it for thee For I am a seal upon thy heart That which is strong as death and womans labour
My beloved thee are spice upon the mountains We flourish like the tender grape upon the vine passion burning like the mighty flames of fire awake thine soul at morn where I give thee my love
For how pleasing is thy love more than any wine thine fragance more than any spice thine garden more than any prized rose thine kiss sweeter than honeysuckle
Thee are my spring enclosed within the fountain awaiting to burst forth upon me For I had looked for thee and had not found thee But the watchman found thee and rendered unto me
For our love was not found but awakened Liken the column of smoke found in the wilderness and I knew thee for thee were gilded with myrrh Upon this day my heart so rejoiced and tethered as one
I am a "fool" for love, I have always been, so I can relate and appreciate the theme that you express via your verses here, Carol. Thank you. Love and best wishes,
as all before me have said you write of romance in the vein of old world perfection and endings like fairy tales

I concur with the poets and readers dear Lady Lily, you are above all the rest in romance and love. You offer love in deep meaning. There isn't one that can touch your style or grace of writing.
Can't express my admiration for your wonderful poetry any better than Diane Miller has.

You have a remarkable ability to write love and romance, more so than any other poet or poetess poems that I have read here. You bring us into the feeling of love and allow us to experience it. This is a beautiful testimony of this. Your words and feelings are felt deeply.
This love you descrie is the very essence of life itself. Beautiful and aromatic..........more binding than that which holds blood. Again, a lovely write!
