Hold yourself within the shadow of another to become one soul ~Lily of Lough Neagh~

Poem Artwork

For where have I been
but to wrap myself within your image
as your shadow casts itself sublimely
I am held breathless within your soul

Held sweetly within your folds
as the sun sets I impart myself within
captured unto your warmth
two images become one heartbeat

We fill ourselves with warm breath
entwined in sweet fragrance engaging in our love
until nights flower closes our petals
by moon shadows sweet surrender

Where upon morning dew will kiss
velvety skin in her morning luster
as night's stars fade upon the rising orb
and Earth beats her gentle breath upon us

Mystically engaging... ...and so very romantic, Carol. I am a big fan of romance even though some people seem to have lost its meaning somehow. Love and serenity to you,

I agree with the poetess Jane, you have a style that resembles Elizabeth Browning. You have a style of your own as well that is unique. You are a writer that continues to impress me with how your words flow in many forms. No-one here can top that from what I've seen.

Another beautiful romance in writing.
