Bone cancer has to be one of the worst, my father endured the suffering where I could not...

 Stone by Stone

Confusion reigns supreme

Like, it just blew my brain to pieces

Random thoughts flying through the air

It's raining memories all over me

I try to grab one but it's slippery-

Everything is wet with tears

I despise this weakness inside me

It strangles my emotion

It stabs me in the heart

It compresses my brain

It's like, why am I crying?

Is it because cancer is eating my Rock alive?

Maybe I can feel the pain too?

Like, I know what it's like when your bones are being eaten alive

Bullshit

I'm crying for my own selfish loss

That shit is stealing my life stone by stone

And I f***in' hate it

I want to hurt more

I want to hurt something

Everything is shit, but my pain is pure

Physical detracts from the emotional

Engravings in my skin are not enough

I must find new ways to destroy myself

I can't handle this shit straight

The help has been had

Peace overwhelms me

I'm rockin' with Rollins

He's one twisted mind, I love him

I hope he doesn't eat the bullet

I come out from under my Rock

Rock of ages, stay with me

Suffer forever, for me

If he could he would, because he is selfless

If he could I'd let him, because I am selfish

I'm scared, scarred

I'm painless, it's pointless

Sleep is coming, and I'll take it

For a fact, all this shit will be waiting for me tomorrow

"He's Going to Kill You" brought me to your site, but I've enjoyed another 7 of your other poems. I'm your new fan and I'll get to the rest of them, but wanted you to know how much I enjoy your work. Tough times, these, but we do what we must. You seem to be doing it better than most. Love the way you do it. I'll be passing your link along to friends. Thanks Dick

Harsh, real, and honest; powerfully engaging, David. Love, peace, and best wishes to you,

Honest, in your face, powerful look at death of a loved one....and the feelings that go along with it.
