Big brother, good or bad? I don't know, but seems to me that we are increasingly more controlled these days...

I know what I want, but try so hard not to reach it

And all the things I say, is not what I mean

So many things that I should do, that I don’t

And all the things that I shouldn’t do, I do

But I suffer my punishment

I didn’t set the perception of ‘right’

An outcast of your society

Individuality, freethinking, non conformity

Secretly wished for by most

Impossible against the propaganda

Ever so subtly,

Monitored, constrained and controlled

Open your mind; get out of the fold…

Come sit with me here, out in the cold

Gentle thoughts of a rebel mind, this is one you want to read over several times. Nice one.

i do like the cold if i've a warm wrap! ;-)
yes, best to be ever mindful of the continuous battering one
takes in the form of modern-day mind control. to be on auto-pilot is to be brain dead and doomed...
well scribed, david.

Thought-inciting verses that remind me of George Orwell's predictions, David. Thank you. Love and peace to you,

Regis

Nice David,
The cold is a place that comforts the free thinker,
It dwells so very far from the hell of conformity

Not sure about the subtle anymore. And since the grass isn't any greener on the other side it may be time to take down that fence. I actually like the cold but your chair is inviting. Patrick

Oh yes..Big Brother is watching !!!
THAT has been apparent for years..there's much to be said for the 'world conspiracy'..I even hold workshops prompting people to wake up and become 'aware' of the reality of the game..

Great piece..am saving it..thank you David..so glad you are here :)))

Blessings,

Vesna :)

I'll sit with you any day, anywhere, any time, David.
This is a powerful indictment of spin and sham and hypocrisy and we need a new revolution of thought and true individuality.
In admiration,
John

what a neat piece of work from the very first line...a thinking person's poem. since i'm a 'goer against the flow-er kind of person...i especially like the last 2 lines and am out there w/ you in the cold...a wise place to be david. this is a keeper

Wonderful, and yes, I'll sit with you, and I'll bring a warm pot of tea, too!
We must each one march to our own drumbeat, however out of step.
Blessings,
Christine

Dare To Be Different!!!
"Against the flow" is an awesome
acclaim to being within the individuality of self
and never having the want nor desire to be a carbon copy
