If speech is not like the blowing of the wind,

The speaker has a meaning in one's words.

If, however, what is said is indeterminate

As from a mind not made up, does the speaker

Really speak or not? Sometimes we think

That our words are different from the chirping

Of parrots and crows, but is there any distinction

Between them or not? But how can our life

Be so obscured that there should be a portion

Of truth and a portion of falsehood in it?

How can our speech be so abstruse that there

Should be the right and the wrong about it?

Where shall a politics run to that it is not be found?

Where will our talk be found that it is inappropriate?

Our speech becomes abstruse and obscured

Thru the small comprehension of the mind,

And our lifetime comes to be in the dark

Thru the vainglory of us, the eager speakers.

Hence, it is that we have the contentions

Between the ruling parties and their oppositions,

The one side affirming what the other denies,

And certainly the other way round, strictly!

If we would decide on the several affirmations

And denials, neither politics nor strategies

Are like bringing the proper light of the mind

To bear on them for the sake of awareness.
