As it fairly said, he who attempts

To bring the world to consensus

Brings it to separation instead.

Why is this so? To win the world

One can only by let-alone.

When someone wants

To take over the world and do

Something eminent with it

By what he does, it seems that

He has no chance to succeed.

This is because the world is such

A sacred plan that cannot be grabbed

Or modified by someone's effectivity.

He who would so modify it, spoils things;

He who would so grab it, loses it

Like water between his fingers.

The way of things is such that

There is indeed a time for retreat

In the issue of going ahead;

A time for regret in the issue

Of displaying arrogance;

A time for weakening in the issue

Of strengthening; and a time for losses

In the issue of making gains.

This is the reason why

The sagely minded leaders

Escape from all extremes,

Abandon wasteful things

And avoid excessive efforts;

They doing their duties effortlessly--

The secret of a long-lasting leadership.
