All the visible things spring from invisible,

The existent comes out from the inexistent;

Only this way we can find the true meaning

Of the term "Void," which, though sounds

Quite negative in form, is a positive per se.

Some maintain that a person who acts

In the spirit of Void is one who spends

One's time in anticipation for something,

Sitting calmly and doing nothing, that's it.

They suppose that such a man would not

Come when called, nor be driven by force.

Quite the reverse, those who act according to

The spirit of Void are the most assiduous men:

They are hard workers in every field because

'To hit the mark' in one stroke is not easy task

Which requires the continuous improvement.

While walking or having a seat or lying down,

Our body itself seems as the naked truth that

Needs not any additional proof. . . That's true ,

But the influence of good life is not the same

As what is termed 'Void.' To go a step further,

We have to keep in mind that the Void may be

Regarded as Mother of Things;-- there must

Be a sign of equality between the two terms.

If some ask you the meaning of this, tell them

That inside the treasury of the Dharma's eye

There always is a grain of dust to show itself

As the mark of eternal contradiction in terms.
