In his declining years
The old king can be satisfied
With what has been done
In the course of his governing,
And with his honourable status
Granted to him by his heir to the throne.
Done! The throne in good hand
Secures his good name and
Solid reputation to resound for ages.
Alas, this is a kind of a problem,
As where there is a feeding trough,
There are always parasites in many
To suck out their victim ruthlessly
And till the last drop of the vivifying sap.
Yes, any advance with fleas and lice
Threatens a misfortune and collapse; hence,
Dealing with the parasites is much too risky,
But, on the other part, not to deal is simply not on.
