I know that I, too, Was sometimes Excessively exacting, Making it hot for you. Please, take it easy And don't think ill of me! It's such a bright and Quietly breathing morning! Take the dawn light And wash your eyesight To see as if in the crystal ball-- We might meet again some day.

The first step of forgiveness is the acknowledgement of a wrong. Not necessarily an easy thing to do; but necessary if you want to "meet again" as you say at the end of the poem.
