Someone else already did - "HOW do I love Thee?" And it was a huge success. So, mine's a tad different, and lacks perhaps Finesse?
WHY Do I Love You? Copyright: November 27, 2006 Tom Hyland Is it because of your Inner Beauty? Is that the True You? The Tenderness of your Touch? Is that why I love you so much? Is it the Dancing glances of your sparkling eyes? Could it be your acuity? For you are so Wise! Is it your Sweet Nectar? Am I attracted, like a honey-bee? Let me list the many ways, Let us search and see! Could it be the Gentility, The goodness oozing from your Lips, Soft , sweet, soothing succulence, Which brings us to your Hips! The curvature, the propriety, That �Come Hither� Quality, That beckons me like a Siren of old, �Touch me, Taste me, be ever so BOLD!� All Five Basic Senses, Both separate and combined, They tell me you are IT � A Package, so Sublime! Why do I Love you? How can I fully Express? A Living Doll in Jeans, As well as in a Dress! Can I paint a Picture? Are you Real, or just Imagined? Can You Love me? Let�s see! �Til Then, I�ll Be � A MESS!

You did Elizabeth Barret Browning proud with this modern interpretation. A refreshing, delightful love poem. I'd say you're in love ;) Hang on to it and never stop showing your appreciation of your special lady. We women need constant reminders. lol

Many poets wrote on love and why someone is loved. So you should be bold enough to give your version. Elizabeth Browning suffered and so knew what love can give, yours is a different proposition and so it should be. Poetry comes from the heart. Give it your best and you'll succeed. Personally I liked your poem although some rhymes are not perfect. But that to me is not important. Victor
