Dog Does Not live By Biscuit Alone

We have a dog named Heather,
whom we love just like a child,
a mix of Chocolate Lab and Doberman,
with ferocious bark, but manner mild.


At ball, she's quite a catcher,
when running she is quite swift,
she weighs in at about eighty pounds,
cause we spoil her, get my drift?


Sometimes we call her Missy,
so stately and so tall,
she's eloquent, when on a scent,
and gingerly lifts one paw.


So Heather does her cute routine of: paw, paw, kiss, little speak,
so she will get rewarded with a biscuit,
that's shaped just like a bone.
For ‘twas once said that,
"Man does not live by bread alone."
