In some dark corner deep within there lies
The piece of me that I must most despise,
A battle rages each and every day
To try to make this weakness go away.
Oh there are times I’m living in a truce,
When darkness has its grip on me more loose.
But now-transition, battle lines are drawn
And I must face the dark before the dawn.
The promise is so real there can be more-
The chance to win the lady I adore,
But thoughts of what is now keep haunting me
To take away the dream of what can be.
These thoughts that scratch me long in to each night,
Awake too long, so tired but still I fight.
How can I find a way to let them go?
I have to find it, but I just don’t know.
It’s stupid; I don’t have to do a thing.
It’s destiny that she will wear my ring.
While most of me is sure of what to do
There’s still a voice that says, “It can’t come true .”
I’m fighting with myself, so who can win?
I must let go of judgement, that’s my sin.
Let go, believe the deepest things I feel-
To let the good that I have touched be real.
i agree, the time is now to act, john, before it really is too late
