You do know,
I wanted to blow you kisses.
I wanted to make the sign
“I love you”
Making that the last thing you see
Until your next visit.
You do know,
I wanted to run down
To your car-
And kiss you again,
But you would never get home.
You do know,
I didn’t want to take my eyes
Away from you for one second.
But…
I was in the middle
Of a light saber duel
With my son,
And he is quite the adversary.
So the duel went on,
I held my own…
And soon that will be you,
My own.
You forgive me…
Because the force is strong with us.
