Lenten reflection.
That Jesus We wondered. We wondered about this life… The lack of fish… But still enough work, Always the work. Everybody keeps talking about… That Jesus. The neighbor finally died… Actually, it didn’t take long at all… We wondered… What was that all about? Look at that crowd…going to hear… That Jesus. We wondered what that was about. An emotional man is screaming… Something about his sight… He is staring at everything in disbelief… Loving everything. We wondered what that was about. He’s screaming about…that Jesus. Feels like the sun could cook us. Down by the lake to cool off- but it is crowded. That Jesus is here…talking to everybody… And everybody is listening…I will too. Getting closer…getting…chilled. This feels like a dream. There is not a sound but his voice… Everybody hanging on every word… He smiles at me- I can’t feel this way…but I do. I’m home. That Jesus… He is somehow different from us… He is not wondering. How can this be? Animated story teller… And we are all his children…needing more. We wondered…two great things…about that Jesus… How can he have these stories We all need to hear? And how did that Jesus… Somehow know ours? John H. Bidwell
