Into the good life-
Intrusion- pillage- plunder-
Knocked out by stealth- bound-
Watching desecration of his world-
But inside- he knew love was the way.
Only Joseph knew-
Every child is a gift from God.
Even His mother didn’t know that-
Resentful all her days-
Tried to take Him away.
Joseph was the protector-
But the evil one bragged-
So everyone knew-
“We were not born of fornication.”
Only Joseph knew-
The prodigal son was his story.
That love would raise Jesus.
Only Joseph knew-
Centuries later the world would call his son victorious
For all the wrong reasons.
Joseph was victorious-
For only he knew-
If you love someone-
They can become yours-
And Jesus and his father-
Were one.
