Finding Love I was so very well prepared, never better. But she showed up absolutely without pretense or vanity. I immediately ditched mine, But found myself standing there with a new heart Which had never been tried. I opened and closed my fists, And breathed- And saw her face to face for the first time. Over the next few days I found That I can live this way- The best version of myself- Which I had to be with her. And I knew then that my life would never be About winning her heart- But about an oath I swore- To always do all in my power To see to it- That her heart wins. John H. Bidwell
