Counterpoint How many times… Have I consoled the victims? Always baffled by their willingness To endure such tyranny… But there for them… As best as I can be. But now… You got me. How ironic. Now it’s me… Staring at the bite mark In the mirror… No matter how bad it gets… Needing that connection to you. It is just too perfect. Your revenge… Because it happened to you. There is no one here for me At this sad juncture- But how can that matter- When I have this glorious wound… Making me weaker by the hour… Faster than I can send you thank you notes? Oh I've’ve got one thing over you. Just one small thing… But it matters to me. I…will not bite. John H. Bidwell
