I read your poems by candlelight while slowly sipping wine,
Such flowing of emotion right from your heart into mine.
When I take in the sacraments, the feelings you have shed,
I feel as if I'm consecrated by the things I've read.
Down has filled the blanket of emotions that you weave,
In which I'm wrapped so tightly as you make my heart believe
That all love has to offer will so quickly slip away,
And no amount of wishing has the power to make it stay.
For what are we but feelings often written in the sand?
And washed out by the tide with every other thing we planned,
But when we take our pens and carve in words the things we feel,
Some reader far away from us will know that we were real.
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.
