A true Christmas story.

GINGER

I did not know my kitty cat liked tinsel on the tree.
The thought that she might eat some strands did not occur to me.
But later when she got distressed there wasn’t any doubt
Some tinsel had got in the cat and I must get it out.

We looked at her to try to find out what the trouble was,
She seemed to be okay but she was sitting on some fuzz.
It soon became apparent that it wasn’t fuzz at all,
But tinsel passing through a cat and ending in a ball.

We got a pair of tweezers and we lay her on the bed
With fear and trepidation for the task that lay ahead,
But when you’ve been with cats enough there’s nothing you can’t do,
And sure enough I, one by one, just pulled the tinsel through.

So Ginger cat was happy and my wife and I relieved,
Another cat adventure that could hardly be believed.
Another lesson learned, another rule we must obey,
If you have any cats please keep the tinsel far away.
