The pic is a doodle I completed a while back. It is something I do while on the phone (usually over a number of calls ;-)). I am sure that a lot can be read into what people doodle. Do you doodle and do you believe it is meaningful?
Could you inspire in all that you say? Will you provoke someone else today? Do you have the words to describe Are you a poet, a writer, a scribe? Each word that is expressed

Chanti!!! I am enthralled with your doodle, it is art, pure and simple. When I was young, way back, in the '70's, I used to love to buy those cardboards with designs on them and markers to color the design, I still have a paper one, it's on my bedroom wall, a jungle scene with birds. But, one of my favorites was an abstract, such lovely nooks and crannies, loops and arrows, windows and doors, I just wanted to jump into and experience the totality. I think you could market your doodles for this type of 'artistic relief' people want, and crave, who cannot doodle so well, but would love to. When it comes to art, I am a copier, cannot 'see' what to draw, as a Poet, I am the opposite, I 'draw' with words. I can already see colors in different positions in your doodle, and I love the eyes! That is the beauty of such, it is a combined effort. The artist creates, the buyer paints. You certainly have the talent for such an endeavor, I would back you, if my poetry were making money. :)
My kids buy these all the time, but, unlike their mother, abstracts aren't their favorite, it's kittens, horses, flowers (oooh, imagine an abstract doodle of different flowers...), etc.
Nice little poem reflecting on the need for awareness of what we write and say, their is so much potential in language, the effects of words are infinite.

Do I doodle? Don't all creative spirits? I love yours. This would make a fantastic album cover. Don't mind me, I was a "flower child"...all those angles suggest that you are very analytical, the curves and circles suggest sensuality. Ditto to Robert's comments i.e. I notice that your brick wall has an opening full of light-excellent-and another can be scaled and on the other side are flowers and grass...you are on the verge of breaking through to a new conciousness. WOW. I see little gems and seeds-you are open to and are absorbing new(ancient) knowledge. Embrace your metamorphosis...
Great poem and very interesting drawing. This is not what I call a "doodle." It is a work of art. The only time I doodle while on the phone is when I'm talking with someone who makes me nervous or uncomfortable.
exactly how LONG were you on the phone for this doodle??? LOL something like that would take me hours to do...I thought it very intriguing, as well as your write. Both were beautifully expressed :)
a doodle embodies symbolic as well as archetypal manifestations of our pysche and oversoul ... your doodle seems to seeking a path of enlightenment ...

Chanti, when this page first opened I thought you had snagged one of my doodles off my desk. After a second or two I realized it was much more creative than anything I cook up while on the phone, especially when on hold.

I found the doodle very interesting and sorta of like scrimshaw which is something that I like too. I do jewelry and find myself playing with different mediumns.

Thanks for all your comments friends. Jerry I had to laugh at your comment. There ARE lot of eyes in my doodles (all of them) but I think it has more to do with my fascination with them than the feeling of 'being watched'. Do you remember the old expression 'The eyes are the windows to your soul'? People can hide a lot in their expressions but not an awful lot in their eyes. Wherever I go, I am drawn by the eyes I see. The eyes of children at play, shining with enthusiasm; the wisdom and sometimes weariness that reflects in the eyes of an old person; sadness, happiness, curiosity, intensity... Yes these are prevalent in my doodles but there are also other things. Look carefully and you will see them. The doodle is almost like a riddle.

I thought as Jerry did, the eyes are predominant. this is exceptional Chanti, I doodle though not in such detail, but my father used to and it was very much like yours, only his had more musical overtones. It is faxcinating and much can be read by someone who knows what to look for;-) The poem is also superb, yes words are our legacy, we shoud think more about that when we write. Thanks for reminding us;-)...

You are in turne with what is happening in the world of words, that is for sure. Yes, our words are our legacy. The doodle? Aw, you know it isn't a doodle, it's art. I see a whole lot of eyes in it. Do you have the feeling somebody is watching you?
That pic is amazing. So much detail...I could get lost in it for a while. My doodles? Can't begin to compare to this masterwork!

I do the same thing, when on the phone, but in no way does
it compare to YOUR art...which could sell as a greeting card,
placemat, bookmark...you name it...exquistely complicated...much
like the penner of the poem above.
P.S. Wish I'd have saved the one I did when conversing with a
person from across the sea!!!
Dear Chanti. Yes I doodle at times and I do think it is a reflection of one's thoughts but I would hardly call your image, doodling. It is difficult for me to get beyond your incredible graphic creation. I get the sense that each icon is symbolic of so much. I am mesmerized by the detail. I will spend more time examining it. As for the poem, I love the flow of it; the rhythm, the rhyme. And of course, the meaning speaks of a universal truth. Thank you for sharing this magnificent artistic and poetic composition. Love.
