Forgotten Memory

Once forgotten memory of long ago,
suddenly appears, a vision in the mind,
from whence it came you do not know,
maybe lingering in the corridors of time.

It brings a renewed essence of being,
reassuring us in what and who we are,
out of sight at times we’re not seeing,
yet it remains there never going too far.

The act of living often takes it’s toll,
as we struggle with each and everyday,
indiscretions at times blemish the soul,
sadly it is the nature of our human way.

Clouds cast dark shadows upon the light,
traveling a rather violent and lonely path,
guided by a sign that not always in sight,
we try to avoid evil’s unforgiving wrath.

Cherished moments, thoughts of love,
can come to surface in our hour of need,
buried memories, treasures from above,
helps us to find the answer to our pleads.

Oh Sam, this is just beautiful! Isn't it amazing how all at once something special comes to our minds...maybe a lover, a friend, a co-worker, etc., and at that very moment we capture that moment we thought was gone forever. It will give us that good fuzzy feeling like it actually was real and we cling to it with everything we have. Those times are sent from someone greater who knows we needed a sparkle put in our heart and mind. A great writing.

A very simplistic piece of beauty so well laid out, nice writing...

Our earliest memories remain the longest. We may repress them for their reason, but they'll return in their season.

Sam,
You give a snap-shot of our daily struggles, and help us to look inside ourselves and God to help us through. A good guide to dealing with what weighs heavy on our minds and in our spirt.

God bless you. Kathy
