Just A Blink

Our mental stability we hold so dear,
the yesterdays blend into tomorrow,
we live in an illusion to hide the fear,
delight and fantasy cover the sorrow.

There is what is and what once was,
society determines wrong from right,
never any answers only just because,
pursuing felicity we often lose sight.

Lost within one’s moments of rapture,
the dangers and warning we never see,
without foresight we can be captured,
no longer free to be all that we can be.

Life is a daily struggle beyond compare,
we are be judged for all the things we do,
where love and beauty we often do share,
trying to grasp the reality of who is who.

Alone passing through corridors of time,
too worried about what others may think,
those we encounter are anything but kind,
yet our lives will pass us by in just a blink.
