Somehow,
I am going to find my way.
Somehow,
A way that isn’t someone else’s to take.
Somehow,
I am going to meet life’s challenges.
Somehow,
Find challenges whose thirst only I can slake.
Somehow,
I have no idea how to do it.
Somehow,
I see that I have gotten through it.
Somehow,
I do things patiently with no time to spare.
Somehow,
By God, I am going to eventually get there.
Somehow,
I will go through the motions.
Somehow,
I will stick to my devotions.
Somehow,
I will keep asking questions I need to define.
Somehow,
I will fulfill my destiny with the life that is mine.
If you ask me how I hope to find an answer worth telling,
My answer is simple enough if not somewhat compelling.
Somehow.
Somehow to me means "I will find a way," emphasis "I." That state of mind connotes "I am in charge of my life, I am my decision maker, and you are free to watch me get things done. Just stay out of my way."
Keep on keeping on, John.
"Somehow," embodies in me the thought that one is striving very hard to reach a pinnacle of life normally unattainable to patience and hard work. A kind of, "come hell or high water," attitude. I have no doubt that somehow, it will happen.
somehow we trap ourselves into the fetters of our selfishness, chasing all and every illusive dream and fancy; on the other hand, the word 'somehow' bears the meaning of 'letting go' which puts everything right once we use it consciously.
an alternative version is here:
For thirty years I've chased the Path.
Now, letting go, I fly out of my cave.
What is the use of keeping all together
My poor body and overwhelmed mind?!
These days I only dance and sing 'la-la-la.'
Mary Angela Nangini's poems celebrate the richness of life and love. From the city to cottage-country and the roads in between, Nangini explores the changing seasons of her varied region. (This book will soon be reprinted in hard cover.)
This is a book of free verse poetry that addresses the seven main tests in life and offers some sensible solutions to passing those tests with minimal discomfort.
Keep on keeping on, John.
