Lift me to the tallest mountain,
Lead me through the narrowest valley,
Guide me through the stillest forest,
Hide me in the well of the deepest cave.
As eagle, I soar with the wind thru verdant valleys.
As fish, I swim through the waters of majestic rivers.
As lion, I trek across the milestones of dusty pathways.
As man, I sit on the horizon to see what lies beyond.
Fear of the unknown cannot hinder me.
Pride in my own accomplishments cannot blind me.
Ignorance cannot prevent me from lifting the veil.
Indifference to the mystery cannot lead me away.
Curiosity has become my most willing companion,
Love of the unknown my most motivating force.
Desire drives me to lift the veil of mystery before me.
Surrender will unite me together with my true st Friend.
Life’s journey has become a voyage of understanding.
Every step along the road advances my way.
The river I plunge into never stays the same.
Moving ever forward, it takes me further, far away.
I have not asked for this rugged adventure.
There was a time when I didn’t even exist.
I am now fully committed to this venture,
To wherever it leads me, even into the mist.
There is a mist that contains the universal mystery.
It is a sacred place where all of life’s secrets abound.
If you accept to take the voyage of understanding,
The divine disclosure lies in waiting, there to be found.
even Zarathustra didn't speak of that; he dared only to think about. . . yes, the old eagles and young lions. . . and the wisdom of all snakes I smell here. Gorgeous. Cheers, alex

Love of the unknown my most motivating force."
I enjoyed the entire poem but these two lines spoke volumes to, and about, me. My brothers call me a "why-baby" for a reason.

I hear you John, and I have traveled there from time to time. Maybe not into the mist completely, but enough so that I was healed enough to carry on.
