- A Time of Wisdom -

There is a time of ignorance that we all must endure;

There will be a time of wisdom that we all must ensure.

I was born in my time, but I feel completely out of time;

We get lost in our maturity in the ambiance of our prime.

Our vain ambitions lead us down many alien country roads;

Our illusions lead to making decisions at certain crossroads.

As we age, we probe within and ask certain questions why;

We strive to finally reach the end of ourselves before we die.

We have had unacknowledged yearnings never to be filled,

Wild passions that have led us astray that we never willed.

Amid all the frustration and disappointment long or brief;

They had their day and died, leaving behind strange relief.

The time of ignorance will eventually dissipate and cease;

The time of wisdom will finally solidify and bring us peace.
