-- Into the Unknown -- John Herlihy I have not been reluctant to take Some baby steps into the unknown I have not been unwilling to make A journey I have never before known Truth to tell, I welcome any change To break all those routines in my day Unfamiliar rhythms will life rearrange New tones and melodies have their say We need to open the doors of mystery Secrets are revealed never before known Fear not as mystery brings hope to see The loving intimacies into life’s fabric sewn Willing to abandon the world of the known Willing to embrace the world of the unknown - - - - - - (c) John Herlihy 16 May 2019

I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A PRETTY CONTENTED PERSON, IN THAT WHAT LIES BEFORE ME IS USUALLY SATISFYING ENOUGH. I FIGURE WHAT ALL GOD WANTS ME TO KNOW, HE WILL MAKE SURE IT IS REVEALED TO ME. AND I CAN ACCEPT THERE ARE SOME THINGS...HE REALLY DOES WANT TO REMAIN A 'MYSTERY' TO US...ON THIS SIDE OF HEAVEN. SO I CAN WAIT. GREAT RHYME SCHEME, THANKS. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+ INSPIRATIONS

Some of us have little choice but to be pulled kicking and screaming into The New by our own adventurous nature. Unfortunately for me I have an equally strong desire to remain in my rut. There is a continual struggle between the two over my heart and mind that is never ending, but I'm always happy when the adventurous side wins!
