-- Time Has No Shape --

John Herlihy

Time has no shape unless you are in love,

Two people in unison as wings of a dove.

As a person in love, you can always go on,

Life may intrude, but you are not put upon.

Time may drone on with little or no escape,

But lovers find their moment in time’s wake.

Without love, eternity wouldn’t mean much,

The minutes and hours do seem but a crutch.

Time will go nowhere but back into the future,

Or linger in our memories tied in life’s suture.

Love sews perceptions into a fabric of dreams,

To let us know what everything in our life means.

Love brings people together into time’s moment,

Love as salty and sweet time’s true st comment.

This is an older love poem but it's timeless...

I love this poem. It's obvious you know something about which you speak. She's a lucky lady, whoever she is.

Next Arrivals by Robin Ouzman Hislop

Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,
