What do we do with our trust,

If not to fulfill our relations with a bond that thrives?

What do we do with our hopes,

If not to fill the emptiness in the course of our lives?

What do we do with our courage,

If not to ward off any hint of impending despair?

What do we do with our sincerity,

If not to pour forth the truth in our nightly prayer?

What do we do with our promises,

If not all our promises to preserve and keep?

What do we do with our sorrow,

If not to allow ourselves the luxury to weep?

What do we do with our ears,

If not to discover the truth of every single word?

What do we do with our inner voice,

If not to make sure that our conscience is heard?

What do we do with our eyes,

If not to witness the cornucopia of nature’s beauty?

What do we do with our taste,

If not to experience the heart of life’s mystery?

Complete the intentions of all that we do,

Lest we waste all the knowledge we ever knew.
