We are humans at birth,

Indeed, we are here.

Cultivating the earth,

This delicate, fragile sphere.

We are humans at last,

Who could have imagined.

True to ourselves, we hold fast,

With tenacity never fathomed.

We are humans in time,

On a journey rare.

Achieving miracles sublime,

Without a minute to spare.

We are human in a rush,

Question: what’s the hurry.

Listen to the silence, hush,

Patience offers less worry.

We are humans held at bay,

Hoping to meet potential.

Fulfilling a holy prophecy,

That relies on the essential.

We are only humans,

Against nature, so small.

We are more than human,

Human nature, infinitely tall.

We are but humans,

Drawing on limited power.

We are but humans,

Death will claim its hour.

We are humans and more,

Wandering, seeking, finding.

Focused on that distant shore,

The one essential to be binding.
