-- Thin Line of Right and Wrong --

John Herlihy

When all sound is gone,

What is there but silence.

When all friendship is gone,

What is there but emptiness.

When all beauty is gone,

What is there but ugliness.

When all truth is gone,

What is there but falseness.

When all companionship gone,

What is there but loneliness.

When all happiness is gone,

What is there but sadness.

When all trust is gone,

What is there but distrust.

When all belief is gone,

What is there but disbelief.

When all respect is gone,

What is there but disrespect.

When all honor is gone,

What is there but dishonor.

A thin line of hope and despair,

A love now lost with no repair.

A thin line of right and wrong,

When blurred, all integrity gone.

THIN LINE, INDEED. IT IS ONLY THE POWER OF GOD'S LOVE IF 'HE', WHO DOES ALL THINGS WELL... BE WILLING, THAT CAN GIVE THESE 'CLOSED' THINGS ANOTHER CHANCE. FOR IT 'HE' ALONE THAT SOFTENS AND HARDENS HEARTS. THANKS FOR THE SHARE, JOHN. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

Indeed it is so easy to take for granted the good things we have and slip the wrong way. Only to regret later for what we have missed. Best not to cross those lines, but to stay on the loving side of life.

Beautifully written how easily it is to slip into wrong.

And the line seems o be thinning even more.
Time to focus on the right and weaken its nemesis.

Next Arrivals by Robin Ouzman Hislop

Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,
