We know the difference between now and not yet;

Now is all too present, not yet waiting in the wings.

We know well enough there in the realm of not yet,

Waiting patiently in anticipation as the heart sings.

A challenge: in the moment, in the essence of now;

The blessing of hope lies in the shadows of not yet.

Never to forget that we are living our life somehow;

Accept the promises of the future, still free of debt.

The past is no more while the future is still not yet;

Only the present moment claims the here and now.

The future holds promise and the past holds regret;

Only the present moment stands as firm as a vow.

We know not yet what in life we will come to be;

As children of God, we listen to what He may say.

By living in the moment, we have a taste of eternity;

In our tasting, we will find our destiny along the way.
