One quiet evening, I gazed on high

Far into the depths of the night sky.

At first, I see nothing but the dark,

I hear a fading echo of song, a lark.

Now in the darkness I see a light,

The first star that I see tonight.

At once, my fears all left behind,

All the worry emptied my mind.

Feelings of bliss my mind did fill,

With a fretful heart beating still.

Miracles when we least expect,

To banish our sense of regret.

Once unknowing, now I know,

A light in darkness, moonglow.

Luminous in the midnight hour,

Ghostly light touches the flower.
