I DON'T KNOW ABOUT ANYONE ELSE, JOHN, BUT I THANK GOD EVERY DAY FOR THE ROAD THAT LED ME TO HIM. THAT ROAD HAS BEEN FILLED WITH TEARS, HAPPINESS, SORROWS, HEALINGS BUT ALSO INDEED....A LOT OF WOUNDS. AND I'M GRATEFUL TO HAVE LIVED LONG ENOUGH TO APPRECIATE EVERY ONE OF THEM! GREAT SHARING, THANK YOU! LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS.
There is much wisdom in this piece, as far too many endure their lives without allowing the maxim that to know happiness, one has to have experienced sadness... and vice versa. I'm presently proofing and editing a book on LSD and as I go through it, many of the "scars" you speak of here are referred to in many of the passages of the book relating to the abandonment of the ego in a trip and allowing within a safe environment and guide the mind to relax and let flow one's personal needs of the mind unsheltered by the ego. "To become the person we are today" is a message that only those who allow the pain and happiness to relate to one another can enjoy.
A further collection of poems, many from years in the Middle East, but also the California San Francisco and Central Coast areas (Santa Cruz, Carmel, Big Sur, Berkeley, etc.).
My book of poetry is being redone by me, I have a beautiful cover designed and the book will have a few more than 200 poems in it. I am going to have it printed on demand here in Canada. When it is done I will let you know when it is done and if anyo
