-- Making Ends Meet -- by John Herlihy , Making ends meet, What a miraculous feat. The tides ebb and flow, Winds at rest, then blow. Rope ends tied in a knot, Forget me, forget me not. Hunger felt as despair, Fulfillment felt as prayer. The two ends of the day, Meet the two ends of the night. The end of time a mystery, The absence of time an eternity. This wasn't what I was expecting at all. I confess the title had me expecting something grave at best and dire at worst about a financial crisis. I was pleasantly surprised to read something lighter and much more pleasant. Even playful. Your choice of graphic was perfect for this poem.

This was both a fun and arresting read. You often poeticize various elements as one or coming together. This was an interesting play on the phrase "Making Ends Meet". Write on.
