Is the world big enough

To fulfill my hopes and dreams?

Is the world small enough

To actually mean what it seems?

Is the world clean enough

To fill human hearts with joy?

Is the world polluted enough

The natural order to destroy?

Is the world round enough

On its axis to rhythmically turn?

Is the world flat enough

To satisfy our curiosity to learn?

Are the rivers long enough

Into the vast ocean to flow?

Are the forest silent enough

A whispering wind to blow?

Are the butterflies beautiful enough

Our tender hearts to inspire?

Are lanterns of fireflies bright enough

To burn their eternal fires?

Are the mountains powerful enough

To hold the earth firm and steady?

Are the world’s oceans vast enough

To make us for the journey ready?

This world of ours is held in God’s hands;

We should not put upon it undue demands.
