-- Dreaming the Dream --
by John Herlihy
Who dreamed the dream,
No one will ever know.
Only the dream that matters,
All the rest lies in tatters.
Beyond the horizon the dream,
Available to all willing to wait.
Reality not what it might seem,
When standing bravely at the gate.
Through all struggle and turmoil,
Worry and hardship come to a boil.
The dream lights the day with promise,
The dream offers rare and holy solace.
Our imagined reality is but a dream,
Our imagined dream the one true reality.

I am reminded of Martin Luther King's famous I Had a Dream speech and oh, what a dream it was…
Ron
“Who dreamed the dream..”
and what is reality?
I admire your taking on these
concepts and trying to make some
poetic sense out of them..
Impressive thoughts..
