-- Something to Hide -- by John Herlihy We all do have something to hide, Something others could never abide. Things made known seek measure, Things hidden as a private treasure. Selective in what we make known, Protective of what is home grown. We harbor secrets never revealed, Secrets better served as concealed. Never to be brought into the light, In shadow in the dead of the night. Privacy never a thing to be imposed, Our private lives need remain closed. Too much of ourselves fully known, This one little thread secretly sewn. AND HOW TRUE THIS IS, BECAUSE ...WE ALL HAVE 'AT LEAST' ...ONE THING...THAT NOBODY KNOWS ABOUT...AS IT SHOULD BE. A FINE WORK, MY FRIEND IN EVERY WAY. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS.

Love those last two lines, John. I had more secrets than I could count, back in my twenties. Not any more though, especially when I learned that you can't hide anything from an omniscient God. So, even though my wife and I are very private people, have a small circle of loving friends, and we mostly keep to ourselves, I never hide anything anymore from God (or Michele) ever. I don't want what's hidden to fester and turn into a stronghold that affects our lives negatively. A fine message. Enjoyed. Peace.... rlc

"I lusted after women in my mind." Haven't we all? Men, that is, unless we are of the other kind who like men. I have an acquaintance who told me that he likes both. And freely admit it. A great load off his shoulders every time he does.
